Trump’s Latest Insult to NATO Allies and the Fallen

In a Fox News interview on 22 January 2026, Donald Trump suggested that NATO troops “stayed a little off the front lines” during the war in Afghanistan, questioned whether the alliance would support the United States if called upon, and claimed the U.S. “never needed” its allies.
