PressTorch.com is a start-up newsroom with 

 ambitions. We’re in a phase of what you might call “aggressive expansion” -- but this will never be at the cost of editorial integrity. While we may rely on technology and even AI-powered tools to help with research and workflow, but every piece of content is 

 before it reaches our audience. Nothing replaces human editorial judgment.

Our mission is simple: deliver accessible, engaging, and trustworthy journalism that challenges assumptions, sparks curiosity, and earns the confidence of readers.

PressTorch writers and editors focus on stories that matter -- from headline events to cultural trends to sharp commentary on the issues shaping the present. We draw from a wide range of sources: primary documents, press releases, public statements, and respected journalism.

AI tools may assist with summarisation or research efficiency, but the editorial direction, tone, and final product always come from our human team. Readers can expect news that feels fresh and relevant.

We cover what we believe is newsworthy, appropriate, and useful for our audience -- regardless of company, institution, or individual. Any potential conflicts of interest will be disclosed clearly (but plot twist: there won't be), and editorial independence will never be compromised by outside relationships.

Accuracy is non-negotiable. When we spot an error, we fix it. Minor corrections -- typos, small clarifications -- are quietly updated. Substantial factual errors will be corrected openly and, when appropriate, noted in the publication where the mistake appeared.

PressTorch maintains a strict policy against accepting gifts, discounts, perks, or favours from entities we cover. If we wouldn’t want it influencing the story, we won’t take it. The only exceptions are items of truly minimal value, such as books or materials sent for review, which are disclosed when used.

PressTorch content reflects the work and perspective of its editorial team -- not advertisers, partners, or outside agencies. While we may experiment with new technologies and storytelling formats as we grow, the editorial judgment remains firmly in-house.

Our independence, and the trust of our readers, is our most valuable asset. Aggressive expansion means bigger stories, not weaker standards.
